We work to match you or your group with an opportunity that both meets your interests and helps to inspire the life journeys of the people we support.

Find a rewarding group or individual volunteer opportunity that works for you!
Internship Opportunities:
We have a number of internship opportunities available for students interested in supporting the needs of individuals with disabilities.
Internship experiences are customized based on the needs of our organization and the requirements of your educational program, but all are designed to help you inspire life journeys!
Volunteer Onboarding Process
Step 1: Apply
The first step to becoming a volunteer is filling out our volunteer interest form!
This form will help us learn more about you, your specific interests, and your goals for volunteer service.
Step 2: Connect
Once we’ve received your interest form, our Community Relations Manager will reach out to you to discuss current opportunities and confirm your availability for service.

*Note: One-time and group volunteers are not required to attend this training.
Step 4: Make a Difference
Following completion of your training and background check, you will become an official Open Door volunteer and can begin inspiring life journeys!
Your volunteer location, schedule, and duties will all be pre-arranged with our Community Relations Manager based on your goals, interests, and skills.
