Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in theater, fine arts, and/or costume design.
  • Experience working with the intellectual/developmental disabilities population.
  • Valid driver’s license with less than five points on record.

General Requirements For All Positions:

  • Responsible for daily review, update, and completion of assignments as outlined in work management platforms, and departmental software.

  • Reporting of incidents timely to incident hotline and complete required reports on electronic platforms.
  • Staying abreast of established policies, procedures, and regulations.

  • Commitment to self-development and completion of required on-going training requirements.

    Key Duties

     

    The following duties are the primary duties associated with this position, however this position does require additional tasks as assigned that are necessary and appropriate to enhance and normalize the lives of individuals:

     

    • Assists with the daily programming of Open Door Stage & Screen (building costumes, building sets, script writing, actor assistance).
    • Mentors cast actors in learning more about productions and the arts based on individual outcomes.
    • Assists actors to identify and source references for costuming, set design, and script writing.
    • Film/video/sound work, as assigned.
    • Assists during live performances.
    • Develops community partnerships that will provide community connections based on individual goals and outcomes.
    • Contributes to the development and growth of the music, arts, and theatre programs at Open Door.
    • Responsible for providing transportation for the individuals we support.
    • Completes daily documentation of individual goals.

    Qualifications:

    -Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

    -Experience in theater, fine arts, and/or costume/set design.

    -Valid Ohio Driver’s License.

    Pay Range:

    Starting at $18.00/hour.

    Hours:

    Monday – Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm
    (Minimal weekend hours for live performances)
