Residential Services
What home can look like with the right support

Finding the right kind of support at home is an important step—and it can look different for everyone. At Open Door Columbus, our residential services are designed to support your independence, your choices, and your everyday life, while meeting you where you are.
Residential support isn’t one-size-fits-all. For some, that means building independence with support throughout the day. For others, it means having more consistent support in a setting designed to meet more complex needs. No matter where you’re starting, the focus remains the same—supporting you in a way that aligns with your goals, your preferences, and your everyday life.
Every situation is unique, and the type of support available can vary based on your needs and what may be available to you. Our team works alongside you to help you understand your options, explore what’s possible, and move forward with confidence. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, learn more about what each setting offers, and get a better sense of what feels like the right fit for you.
Let’s Explore Your Options
Supported Community Living
If you’re looking to live more independently—either in your own home or with housemates—Supported Community Living offers support that fits into your daily routines, preferences, and goals.
This option focuses on helping you build skills, increase independence, and receive support where and when you need it. Services are typically accessed through waiver-based funding, and our team can help you understand what that means and how it may apply to you.

Intermediate Care Facilities
PARK WEST COURT APARTMENTS & JOHNSTOWN
If you need a more structured environment with 24/7 support, including medical and behavioral care, our Intermediate Care Facilities provide consistent, around-the-clock support.
These settings offer stability and safety—while still supporting your personal growth, your choices, and meaningful daily experiences. Short-term respite stays may also be available, providing a safe and supportive place to stay when your family or caregivers need additional support.
