Job Description

At Open Door, we inspire the life journeys of individuals with disabilities and cultivate valued roles for them in their communities. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the Park West team as a Residential Manager.

All new hires will receive a $100.00 sign-on bonus with their first paycheck! Full-time employees will then receive a retention bonus of $500.00 after their 120th day of employment. Part-time employees will receive a retention bonus of $200.00 after their 120th day of employment!

Qualifications

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to participate in and pass the Medication Administration Course.

  • At least two years of experience working with the DD/IDD population.
  • Prior supervisory/management experience preferred.

 

General Requirements For All Positions

  • Responsible for daily review, update, and completion of assignments as outlined in work management platforms, and departmental software.

    Key Duties

     

    The following duties are the primary duties associated with this position, however this position does require additional tasks as assigned that are necessary and appropriate to enhance and normalize the lives of individuals:

     

    • Works with the ICF Trainer to ensure that DSPs are successful after initial training by keeping trainer informed if DSP’s need further mentoring or if other issues that arise.
    • Answer and respond to the on-call phone while on location (and when required to be rotating on-call schedule), to ensure coverage is met as per apartments minimum staffing requirements.
    • Responsible for completing QI observation rounds daily and providing guidance to DSP’s/Supervisors.
    • Responsible for maintaining vehicle calendar and keys.
    • Must communicate professionally, verbally and in writing, with all employees, stakeholders, and regulatory inquiries.
    • Must be present for any ODH, DODD, Life safety, or other survey; responsible to trouble-shoot and ensure staff are reminded of responsibilities, Family Style Dining, and important updates during surveys.
    • Stays abreast on changes at the ICF through attendance and review of daily meeting minutes from Connections Meeting. Responsible for timely follow-up daily on meeting assignments.
    • Assumes the role as the Direct Support Professional and covers the apartment staffing needs, as necessary.
    • Completes audits such as Family Style dining, Behavior, Programming, and Transfer to determine if further training is needed.
    • Provides positive support to DSPs and Site Supervisors in the apartments to promote an overall nurturing and team environment.
    • Assists with emergency preparedness and crisis response.
    • Acts as an ICF supervisor and back-up to ICF Program Director, when assigned.
    • Supervises Site Supervisor positions.
    • Supervises Facility Supports to ensure sanitary conditions are up to standard.
    • Facilitates meetings; agendas, minutes, and follow-up.
    • Responsible for initial and on-going training and leadership development for all Site Supervisors and facility Support Staff.
    • Responsible for overall facility compliance, individual/family satisfaction, and quality of service standards.

    Qualifications:

    Pay Range:

    $23.50/hour; additional $0.25/year of experience (Maximum two years); education differential.

    Hours:

    Fulltime; Primarily daytime hours; Schedule varies.
