A Carbon Monoxide detector is installed in the Studio. It has three alarms that may sound:
- Low Battery Warning:
The detector’s alarm “chirps” once a minute. If this happens, call the maintenance department. If you do not receive a call-back, contact the Executive Director.
- Early Warning:
The detector’s alarm sounds for 3-5 seconds every 5 minutes. If this happens, call the maintenance department. If you do not receive a call-back, contact the Executive Director)
- Full Alarm:
The detector’s alarm sounds one long continuous alarm. You will need to do the following:
- Evacuate the building.
- Call the maintenance department and the Executive Director. If necessary the maintenance department will call the local fire department.
- Take a head count to ensure that all Individuals and staff have evacuated.
- Wait until the maintenance department and/or fire department gives the “all clear” before returning back into the building.
