4.31 ICF – Individual Specific Training

All Open Door departments strive to provide quality, person-centered support to all individuals served. In order to ensure that services are being provided as per the person-centered plan (PCP), Open Door has developed orientation and ongoing training systems that promote staff training.

As part of the training procedures, all staff will receive individual-specific training covering all areas of the PCP, medical, medication administration information, behavior strategies, and any other pertinent individual preferences. This training and staff acknowledgment will be completed prior to working with the individual(s).

The Individual Specific Training (IST) forms are kept updated by the QIDP for each individual and are stored electronically. Completed IST forms are forwarded to the Human Resources Department which enters these into the Advisor system.
