1.12 – Fundraising
Open Door Board of Directors, volunteers, stakeholders, and all employees will support the efforts of raising company awareness on an on-going basis.
Open Door maintains a charitable account that assists with paying for special agency events, community experiences, and other items for the individuals served. This account provides funds for items not covered by Medicaid or other funding sources for the individuals to enhance their personal goals and outcomes. This account is also used for supporting DSP initiatives and rewards.
Through effective uses of marketing pieces, relationship building, annual campaigns, and specific fundraising events, Open Door will raise restricted funds, unrestricted funds, apply for grants, and accept In-kind donations that will assist to meet overall mission and goals. All grant deliverables will be measured, reported according to outline of funding requirements.
All accounts will be recorded on the Open Door financial statements and reviewed by the external CPA during completion of audit each year.
