2025 Annual Report

In 2025, Open Door strengthened its commitment to quality, accountability, and person-centered support. Across multiple service areas—including Supported Community Living in Franklin and Union Counties, Community-Based Services, Transportation, Remote Supports, Assistive Technology, and all of our innovative day programs—regulatory reviews were completed with zero citations, reflecting the dedication of our staff and our continued focus on delivering safe, responsive, and high-quality services.

Open Door’s impact was also recognized throughout the community. We were honored to be named the 15th largest social service nonprofit in Central Ohio in Columbus Business First’s 2025 Book of Lists, a recognition that reflects both the scale of our work and the trust placed in us by individuals, families, and community partners.

Investing in leadership, advocacy, and professional development remained a priority throughout the year. Two Direct Support Professionals received scholarships from the Ohio Developmental Disabilities Council to attend the National Policy Summit, ensuring that frontline voices were part of important statewide and national policy discussions. Additionally, one of the individuals we support was appointed to the Council’s board—an inspiring example of self-advocacy in action and an important step toward ensuring people with disabilities help shape the decisions that affect their lives.
